Brenda was born and raised on a small family farm in Maryland. She attended and graduated from Maryland School for the Deaf. She began her quest for a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Rochester Institute of Technology / National Technical Institute for the Deaf, but ultimately received her bachelor’s degree in accounting from Shippensburg University. She relocated to Oklahoma after meeting her husband on an online gaming platform. She has 2 children and enjoys sewing and crafting.
Whats your favorite childhood toy?
As a child, Brenda usually spent her playing time with her siblings on the farm, playing with Barbies with her sisters and Tonka trucks with her brother. As an older child she enjoyed reading books.
What makes you proud to be part of the Deaf community?
The camaraderie of the deaf community’s members is what Brenda cherishes the most.
