National Leadership Training Conference

October 5–7, 2017 - The Skirvin Hilton
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

ยท Hosted by National Association of the Deaf

Oklahoma Association of the Deaf had a pleasure working with the NAD with the NAD Leadership Training Conference (NLTC). Our President worked closely with NAD to set up volunteers for the event and working with SHEP to provide SSP’s for the Deaf Blind. SHEP volunteers,     THANK YOU for donating your time!  You are appreciated!  OAD Volunteers, THANK YOU!  We could not have pulled this off without all of you! We enjoyed a dinner with NAD Board the night before the event began. We truly enjoyed our time with them, they are an amazing group of people. For the event, we had a lot of Oklahomans attend!  Most of our board attended, and at least 20-25 other members and non members from Oklahoma attended. Everyone enjoyed NLTC. Most of us attended the Racial Justice Training, one of the best trainings for the entire weekend!  NTLC provides the enhanced development of leadership within state associations, organizations, and corporations. As the nation’s premier civil rights organization of, by and for deaf and hard of hearing individuals in the United States of America, the NAD’s mission is to provide guidance and support to the deaf and hard of hearing community to take on society’s challenges and succeed in a more equal and accessible world. The next event is October 2019 in Little Rock Arkansas! It will be well worth your time and money! OAD encourages you to come and gain the knowledge, expertise, and network to enable full productivity and success within your state associations, organization,  and corporations. In addition, it’s a great way to learn leadership. Join us in 2019!
